Ian Gledhill has worked professionally in the world of theatre as an actor, producer and set designer and he entertained a very appreciative audience in the Congress Suite on Sunday, 4th March with a light-hearted talk on how people have been entertained over the past two hundred years when they came down to the seaside. The talk was followed by a very pleasant tea of sandwiches and cakes, followed by a vanilla ice cream, and the Social Committee went to a lot of trouble to decorate the tables with “bathing machines” serviettes, sea shells and Eastbourne rock.  Ian has a number of diferent talks in his programme and no doubt we will be seeing him again in the future.
