It is always a real pleasure to welcome the cast of a Talking Scarlet production to a first night reception, and this week was no exception.  The Murder in the Park series opened with James Cawood’s thriller Stone Cold Murder and it was a delight to see Artistic Director, Patric Kearns, and his four-strong cast in the bar after the show.

After a run of well known plays – rarely set in modern times – it was intriguing to watch this relatively new and captivating play unfold in the contemporary setting of a Lake District hotel closed for the winter.  From the outset, this cleverly written, and at times witty, play has twists and turns that – like any good whodunit – kept the packed first night audience in suspense and guessing to the very end.

The cast of experienced soap and stage stars were a delight to meet and chatted with the Friends, signing autographs and posing for photographs – as the pictures below bear testimony.

We look forward to welcoming some back in the coming weeks in further productions in this series.
