After a gloriously chilling and edge of the seat performance the Friends were delighted to welcome the cast of The Small Hand to the Bar Reception on Monday evening. Robert Duncan has appeared many times at the Devonshire Park and so it was like welcoming an old friend. It was also a delight to meet Diane Keen and Andrew Lancel, who so many of us recognised from numerous television productions.

We had all enjoyed their faultless acting and the stunning audio visual effects in The Small Hand and so meeting the cast and back stage crew was the icing on the cake.

Susan Hill’s spine chilling ghost story had been adapted for the stage by our Patron, Clive Francis and those of you have seen the play will not need reminding that, however enticing the property might look, not to go venturing down overgrown driveways towards imposing residences near Lewes!
